Careers

Our company combines the stability of a government-designated testing organization with the flexibility of a foreign-owned business.

GLI Japan Attraction

As a testing organization designated by the National Public Safety Commission, we play a critical role in testing amusement machines that manufacturers must pass before introducing new products to the market.

Ensuring Compliance

To ensure players can enjoy machines with confidence, the law establishes detailed rules and standards for machine specifications. We verify whether a machine complies with these regulations by reviewing design documents, cross-checking specifications, and conducting physical tests. Only machines that pass these tests are approved for sale and installation.

As part of the global GLI Group, we strive to create a work environment where employees can thrive long-term without unnecessary stress. Our team includes professionals from a wide range of industries.

Global Company with Offices Worldwide

The GLI Group brings over 35 years of experience as a trusted testing organization, with 31 locations across the globe and more than 1,300 employees worldwide.

Great Work Environment and Work-Life Balance

We believe a safe and comfortable workplace is essential for long-term success. With weekends off, national holidays, and over 125 days off annually, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your personal life. Our offices provide a calm environment where you can focus on your work without excessive overtime. Plus, there are no relocations, so you can feel secure in your role.

We also prioritize employee health and well-being.

List of Certification

Placing Employees’ Physical and Mental Well-Being at the Core of Management

At GLI Japan, we regard our employees’ health—both physical and mental—as one of the organization’s most important assets. Creating an environment in which employees can work actively and in good health is positioned as one of our top priorities within the HR domain.
Our goal is to foster a workplace where “job satisfaction” and “well-being” coexist—one in which each individual remains highly motivated and able to grow sustainably over the long term.

Working Toward Certification as a “Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization”

GLI Japan is currently working toward obtaining certification as a Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization.

By seeking objective evaluation from third-party institutions across both public and private sectors, we aim to clearly communicate our goals and initiatives both internally and externally. Continuously reviewing and updating our labor practices in line with rigorous standards is also our promise to employees that we will provide a workplace where they can work with confidence and security.
Going forward, we will continue striving to build an organization that contributes to society by balancing employees’ physical and mental well-being with high productivity and operational efficiency.

A Strong Commitment to a Safe, Secure, and Healthy Work Environment

We go beyond slogans by setting clear, measurable targets and rigorously improving our working environment.

  1. Striving for a 100% Paid Leave Utilization Rate
As of December 2025, our paid leave utilization rate has reached approximately 93%. Without being complacent about this achievement, we continue to promote company-wide efforts to ensure that all employees can take paid leave in a planned manner, fully recharge, and ultimately achieve a 100% utilization rate.
  2. Strict Adherence to an Average of Five or Fewer Overtime Hours per Month
Through ongoing operational improvements and the promotion of digital transformation (DX), we have maintained an average of five or fewer overtime hours per employee per month as of December 2025. By establishing a work culture that does not rely on long hours, we support employees in balancing their professional responsibilities with family time, personal development, and other aspects of a fulfilling private life.
  3. Maintaining a 100% Participation Rate in Annual Health Checkups
Accurately understanding employees’ health conditions is the foundation of all our initiatives. We have established a system that allows all employees to undergo health checkups without exception by adjusting working hours as needed. Through disease prevention and early detection, we continue to safeguard employee health. We remain committed to maintaining a 100% participation rate and providing thorough follow-up based on the results, ensuring a workplace where employees can continue working with peace of mind.
  4. Continuous Development of Fundamental Professional Skills through External Training
Regardless of age, career stage, or employment background, we actively incorporate external training programs, including those offered by SMBC Consulting. These programs provide regular opportunities to review essential professional skills such as business etiquette and effective communication (“report, inform, and consult”), while helping employees identify areas for improvement and personal growth. Cultivating solid practical skills and a strong sense of ownership is essential to prevent workflow disruptions and interpersonal stress, and to creating an environment in which everyone can work with confidence.

Under this certification program, the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare certifies small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are highly proactive in recruiting and nurturing young professionals, and that exhibit excellence in their employment management practices.

We are participating in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Kodomo-Smile Movement.

We work hard to make sure our office is a place where everyone feels comfortable taking time off for their families. We’re proud to announce that 100% of our male employees have taken childcare leave, and we’ve even been awarded Gold status by the Tokyo government for supporting working dads.

GLI Japan was certified as Gold Rank in the White Company Certification conducted by the Japan Organization for the Promotion of Next-Generation Enterprises in February 2026.
